Don’t miss the closing general session presented by the dynamic Frank Charles Winstead, a consummate storyteller, entitled, “Wayside Teaching in a Place Called School”.  Be prepared to be inspired through humor, touched by tears and discover how to make a difference in the lives of the students you touch.  Mr. Winstead completed thirty-one years of service in public education as a classroom teacher in elementary, junior high school, and high school levels.  He was a middle school principal for 5 years and served 16 years as the Director of Educational Media as well as being on staff at West Georgia College in the Department of Educational Media where he designed and produced teaching materials for the faculty and taught media production classes. A few of his recognitions include being selected as Georgia’s Outstanding Young Educator, named a Georgia STAR Teacher, awarded Georgia’s Outstanding Principal by the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders, received Presidential Citation for a presentation depicting poverty in West Georgia, bestowed with the Dr. John M. Davis Distinguished Educational Achievement Award for Georgia which was presented by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and the list goes on.  Mr. Winstead has touched audiences across the United States, and in Hungary, Venezuela and Thailand.

There is no greater testament to a presenter’s effectiveness than that from the audiences that have been touched by their message.  Following are some reviews from Mr. Winstead’s previous audiences:

·         A public school teacher stated, “In the space of 12 hours, I was lucky to see stars from two different worlds.  Sir Paul McCartney brought happiness and love to my heart and a smile to my face, and Frank Charles Winstead brought a twinkle to my eye and a warmness to my soul and renewal of ‘Why we teach’”.

·         A Texas principal stated, “Your spectacular presentation was enjoyed by an auditorium filled to capacity with educators spellbound by your inspiring message.  Staff members from across Texas were mesmerized with your celebration of teaching philosophy and ‘wayside teaching’ model”.

·         A counselor stated, “The impact of your heartfelt, humorous, insightful, and powerful message to our Association of School Counselors will be felt for years to come.  Your knowledge of your subject, warmth, empathy, sincerity, honesty, and wonderful ability to tell a story came alive in the memorable two hours we spent with you.  My only regret is that it was not longer!”.

As you can see, you don’t want to miss the closing keynote and know that Mr. Winstead has more surprises coming!
