This interactive session will provide participants with strategies that focus on innovation, individualization, and inspiration to motivate and engage students in the online environment. These strategies can also be replicated in a face-to-face environment to promote collaboration and build a sense of community. The session will provide opportunities for the audience to collaborate and participate in share sessions.


Dr. Rebecca Long currently serves as the Program Administrator for a nationally recognized Virtual School in Houston, Texas. Her background includes mathematics education, school counseling, and public school administration. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University and a Master of Education from Houston Baptist University. Her Doctor of Philosophy was awarded at the University of Houston. She has presented on topics such as Online RTI, Best Practices in Online Learning, Virtual Leadership, and Designing Engaging Online Courses at several state, national, and international conferences such as iNACOL, TCEA, TxVSN, and ASCD.
