Shelia Redmon-Jones is the marketing and public affairs director for the Greenspoint District. She is a member of the executive leadership team and is responsible for overseeing the communication initiatives of all District departments, including advertising, print and online publications, community relations, promotions and events. She has worked for companies such as the Houston Chronicle and AIG American General. 

Prior to her recent return to industry, Redmon-Jones enjoyed seven years as an educator. She entered the field as a Business Education teacher and CTE department chair at Dr. Edward Roberson Middle School – A Math, Science and Fine Arts Academy, where she earned the honor of both the campus and district Rookie Teacher of the Year. In 2013, she became the coordinator for the Career & Technical Education (CTE) program. 

Redmon-Jones serves on the board of directors for Leadership North Houston Alumni Association and LemonRose Academy. She is also a member of  a local Career & Technology Education Advisory Board and the American Business Women’s Association – Greenspoint Chapter.  Shelia holds a master’s degree in School Counseling, focusing on career development, from Lamar University and a bachelor’s in Journalism from the University of Houston.
