Transforming Education and Changing History
2021 Scholarship Recipients
The TEACH nonprofit organization has a mission to transform education and change history so that more students will have the opportunity to excel in school and beyond.
Providing student scholarships is part of the work of the organization and this year TEACH will provide scholarships for $1500 each to 3 deserving students in the South Texas area.
Meet scholarship winners
Willis HS Senior, Tonya Benavidez
The senior receiving this scholarship award has maintained a 3.98 GPA and has participated in a number of dual credit and advanced placement courses.
Teachers at Willis HS have described this scholarship recipient as an exceptional student and an exceptional human being who gracefully steps into the role of a leader worthy of high praise.
Tonya plans to attend Sam Houston State University and major in Education.
Klein Forest HS Senior, Tiffany Nguyen
The senior receiving this scholarship award has maintained a 4.0 GPA and has participated in a number of organizations and community service activities.
The principal of Klein Forest HS described this scholarship recipient as a hard-working, driven and compassionate young adult. This recipient is AP Computer Science teacher also shared that this scholarship recipient is a fast learner, achieves the highest grades, and shows an exemplary personal character.
Tiffany plans to attend University of Texas in Austin and major in Nursing to become a Nurse Practioner.
Cleveland HS Senior, Tarik Barnes
Tarik has maintained a 3.96 GPA and has participated in a number of organizations and community service activities.
The principal of Cleveland HS described this scholarship recipient as inspiring, determined and brilliant. The counselor also shared that this scholarship recipient is always eager to help others with positive energy and a willingness to go above and beyond to stand out in everything done.
Tarik plans to attend University of Texas in Austin and major in Biochemistry.

TEACH scholarships are awarded to students and programs of our educational partners.
